The ‘non-cooperation movement’ was aimed at the British. The main objective was to make the British realize that they cannot operate or function without the support of the Indians. Their main idea was to cripple the ‘administration of the British’.

• When British came to India they had the cooperation of the Indians since World War I had led to heavy taxes, famines in the country and heavy prices which had added to the ‘misery of the people’ in the country.
