why did gandhi ji decided to launch a nationwide satyagraha against the proposed rowlatt act, 1919? Explain

Here are the following reasons for launching the satyagraha

1. Gandhiji had got success in 3satyagrahas after coming to India champaran satyagraha (1916) , kheda satyagraha (1917) and ahemdabad satyagraha (1918)

2. Rowlatt act (1919) was an act which was hurriedly passed by the British government .

3. It gave British government enormous powers to repress political activities and allowed detention of political prisoners without trial for 2years

4. Mahatma Gandhi wanted non violent civil disobedience against such unjust laws

after arriving in India in 1915 mahatma Gandhi successfully organised satyagraha movement in various places.
