Why did gandhi sraer the non cooperation movement?

Gandhiji started non-cooperation movement because he thought that Britishers are surviving in India because Indian are cooperating with them....so if Indian started boycotting the titles they awarded, civil services, police, army, courts, schools, foreign goods and legislative councils.....the Britishers will not be able to survive more than a year after launching this movement.
