1)CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE MOVEMENT was the second mass movement.Salt is the basic requirement for every person.The British took the monopoly of making salt and passed a law,banning manufacture of salt.

2)ON MARCH 12,1930 MAHATMA GANDHI began his epic Dandi March from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi.

3) He was accompanied by 78 supporters.They made salt from sea water and broke the law.

4) Salt Satyagraha was an open challenge to the British and the Civil disobedience spread all over the country.

5) In this movement,schools,colleges and courts were boycotted and peasants refused to pay taxes.

6) It was led by Abdul Gaffar Khan in North West Frontier Province.He was popularly known as Frontier Gandhi.

7) Nationalism spread all over the country.

8)A feeling of one nation spread among people living in India.

9) In 1930 and 1931 the govt. called two Round Conferences . Bt they didn't solve any problem.

10) The British refused dominion status and Gandhiji resumed the Civil disobedience movement which was later dissolved in 1934
