The Non corporation movement was going at its full speed when Gandhi ji withdrew it in 1992A.D.the reasons for the same are as follows:
1.Mahatma Gandhi wasa staunch follower of ahisma and non voilance but when in 1922,the people burnt down the police station at chauri chaura in up,where 22 policemen were burnt alive he was simply stunned.he felt he would no longer be able to direct the non corporation movement on the peaceful lines as was desired by him.so he called off this movement in 1922 A.D.
