Gandhiji decided to withdraw the Non-Cooperation Movement due to various incidents of violence perpetrated by the masses, especially the Chauri Chaura incident in 1922 where the people clashed with the police, setting a police-station on fire.

Non cooperation movement :-

At the time of first world war the Congress cooperated with British . even Gandhiji aur the Gujarati present to join the Army if they wanted to win Swaraj .

But after the passing of Rowlatt Act ,Jaliya wala bag tragedy and Khilafat movement it made Gandhiji feel sad and he turned from a Cooperative to Non corporated and decided to start Non cooperation movement . non cooperation movement it does not operate with evil doer. Gandhiji Aaj Tak people not to assign the foreign government to rule over them .

Now why this Gandhiji decided to withdraw non cooperation movement :-

The tragedy at chaurichaura a village in Gorakhpur district in Uttar Pradesh in February 5, 1922. in this incident about 3000 peasants marched to police station . The police fired at the pleasant the demonstration that the nearby police station on fire killing 22 police man who wear inside the police station . There were a few violent incident in other parts of the country .

Believer in Ahimsa was greatly shop at these incidents and Gandhiji decided to withdraw the non cooperation Movement in February 12 1922.
