why did Gandhiji decided to call off non cooperation movement

Gandhi Ji did that because:
1) of the violence which further led to riots and Gandhi Ji wanted to win this or gain this independence without violence.
2)also the ideas of non cooperation movement didn't reached to all the people such as poor peasants.
3)due to this many people died and Gandhi Ji didn't want that.
