one of the main reason and only reason was chauri chaura incident in 1922. Gandhi called off the movement because it was a violent incident

He call off the non corporation movement because:-
(I)he wanted to the people to be non violent, but the outcome was not in his favor
(II) Angry men fired the British police station.
(III) The people of India did not followed his ways of non violence.
