The Kheda Satyagraha of 1918, in the Kheda district of GujaratIndia during the period of the British Raj, was the third Satyagraha movement inspired by Mohandas Gandhi and a major revolt in the Indian Independence Movement. It was the third Satyagraha movement after Champaran Satyagraha and Ahmedabad mill strike. Gandhi ji organise this movement to support peasants of kheda district.The peasants of kheda could not be able to pay high taxes of british due to crop failure and plague epidemic

mahatma gandhi organised a satyagara to support the peasant of the kheda district of gujarat. affected by crops failure and a plague epidemic, the peasant of kheda could not pay the revenue, and were demanding that revenue collection be relaxed. this was in the year of 1918. it is the second satyagraha which was introduce by gandhi. this satyagraha also known as peasant satyagraha.
