Hey buddy here is your answer
Earlier, our government had put trade/tariff barriers so as to protect the local traders from the competiton.
But later on, as the years progressed and the traders, merchants, industrialists and businessmen increased their business tactics and were flourishing, then the government has removed trade barriers so as to boost the local traders with competition.
So in short, reasons for the government to remove trade barriers on the foreign trade and investment are as follows-
- For better and improved choices.
- For a better standard of living.
- For the boost of local traders.
- For the competition with the international companies.
- For the increase of the GDP.
Hope it helps
