Why did Guru decide to leave the place

The guru and the disciple saw that the whole kingdom was sleeping during the day time,and even the animals were thought to sleep at day time. The guru decided to leave the kingdom as he got a hint that he was in a kingdom for fools where a foolish king and his mantri ruled so he decided to leave the kingdom.
