Hari hesitate to board the lucknow express because he was feeling guilty. He knew that the loss of money wouldn't affect Anil that much, but the loss if trust would. He thought of how Anil had helped him and even tried to teach him how to read and writ. Anil was the only friend he had got and didn't want to break his trust and was keen to learn more and be educated just like Anil.
