Haveli is referred to the large house in our country , mostly which are situated in the rural areas.
The room numbers of the haveli are generally greater than the normal houses and these havelis are used by zamindars and other large families.
But the concept of nuclear family of 3-4 persons was becoming trendy from the mid 19th century , that's why these havelis lost it's popularity.
