why did he lose his piece of meat?
One day a dog was passing through a street. He
came near a butcher's shop. He saw a lot of meat there,
The butcher was busy. The dog stole a big piece of meat
and ran down the street. The buthcer did not notice this,
Soon the dog came to a bridge over a stream, He
saw his own reflection in the water. He thought, "Oh !
he too is running away with a piece of meat. It is bigger,
too. I must have it."
* The greedy dog opened his mouth to snap at it.
Down fell his own piece of meat in the stream)
Thus the greedy dog was left with nothing.​

Explaination: While running down to the street over the bridge he saw his own reflection and thought that he was any other dog . He was expected to take the meat piece of the other dog also ( as it was its reflection) and while opening his mouth he lost his own piece of meat .
