Jalaluddin Mangbarani who was the son of the Shah of Khwarizm, while escaping from the Mongols, sought shelter  from Iltutmish but Iltutmish refused to grant asylum to him. By doing so Iltutmish  prevented Mongol attack and saved

India from the wrath of Chengiz Khan.
