♡Because India under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi had joined the non-aligned movement ,whose main motive was to remain away from the two power blocs
♡And moreover the Gandhiji believed that the formation of power blocs increases the further chances of war. So, he advised India not to join any of the power bloc
