why did india opt for representative form of government​

See, When india gained independence in 1947 it has to do a lot of work and changes in the type of government.

First they opted for federalism which divided the govt into central and state. but then the national leaders realised that it is not the best solution.

A multi party system was established in 1945 which help people to represent the people in parliament this is representatvive form of govt
