Integrity' was added in the Preamble of Indian constitution by 42nd constitution amendment Act, 1976.

The sole purpose of doing so is to explicitly state that Fraternity among Indians shall not only be limited to the Caste, Class, Region, Religion, Language, Sex, Ideologies etc but shall assimilate all to assure that the unity and integrity of India is maintained.

In other words, our limited view of Fraternity shall not promote the divisive tendency and affect the nation's integral structure. So, this amendment gave a broad meaning to the word 'Fraternity'.
