This was because it began with arebellion by Indian troops (sepoys) serving in the army of the British EastIndia Company. British rule in India was handled by the East IndiaCompany. Indian historians dislike the term 'mutiny' because it suggests that only Indian troops were involved.

because the Indian traders were forced to pay a very huge amount of tax. They were also forced to sell the product at low price but the price at which they bought the product was at very high rate . The British told Indians not to export at any place they wanted but the britishers told them where to export .If anyone exports to other place at which the britishers were not allowing them to export then then the person was forcibly removed from his profession and was punished by the britishers and the Indian traders weren't happy at all .
