Reasons for increased industrial production:

* Manchester imports into India declined-

The British Mills were busy with war production to meet the army needs.

* Indian Mills got vast home market to supply-

As Manchester imports declined industrial production in India increased.

* Indian factories called to supply war needs-

As the word pronounced Indian factories got called upon to supply war needs in Britain.

* new factory setup-

New factories was set up to meet the increasing demands an old ones run multiple shifts at a time.

* Manchester lost its old position-

After the war Manchester was never able to recapture its old position in the Indian market.
