the Portuguese had been engage trade with India since the time of AKBAR. Jahangir good terms with them and give them trade concession but soon the Portuguese being to loot and attack the Mughal ships. this led to conflict and Jahangir with you all the favours and when the Portuguese to trade with The Merchant of Mughal state until they made amends.
