The Jihad movement was a battle between Sikhs and the Mughals. Sikhs had a well trained army with modern weapons. Infighting among the Pathan soldiers in Barelvi's Mujahideen army. Sikhs had well planned conspiracies against Barelvi in the Peshawar region. Many negative news was spread against Barelvi which demoralised his army men before the Jihad movement.
