Kezia wanted to give a present to her father on his birthday. She decided to make a pin –cushion for him. She took a beautiful piece of yellow silk and stitched it on three sides. Now, she needed something to fill it. She went into her father room. There, she found that many sheets of fine paper lying on the table. She picked them and tore into pieces. Then she stuffed them into pin-cushion and sewed its fourth side. But it was her father’s important speech. When her father came to know about it, he became very upset.
He picked up a ruler and beat her. He was not right in punishing her. He must have realized that she was innocent. Her intention was good. He could warn her politely.
