Kezia's father punished her because she tore his important speech. I don't think she deserved the punishment as she had not known that the papers were important to her father and she had meant good and done it accidentally. Instead of punishing her and creating fear and hate for him in her mind, her father could have sat her down and scolded her and explained why she should not repeat the mistake.
