lencho was not surprised after seeing the monet because he was sure that the god will send him moey in the reply of the letter as he had a great faith on god.

Lencho did not show any surprise on seeing the money because, owing to his unfaltering faith in God, he expected Him to send it to him.
Lencho was a simple farmer who had unshakeable faith in God. It never even occurred to him that God might not send the money; so, everything was as expected and hence there was no reason to be surprised.
