Liberals and radical had rallied for individual rights

Explanation:

  • One of the several groups that sought to change the society were liberal & radicals. The liberals need a nation which tolerated all religions. They had opposed limitless control of authority & power of the dynastic rulers. They wanted to safeguard individuals' rights. The also sought a elected, representative, parliamentary govt wherein the laws were interpreted by well-qualified judges who were independent of the rulers
  • The radical rallied for a govt based on the population of the nation. They opposed the privileges of wealthy factory owners and big landowners. They also disliked concentration of property in only a few hands.
  • At that time it was age of industrialisation. This had brought many women & men to working in factories. But these workers were exploited by factory owners. Workers had to work for very long hours for low ages and the working condition was to bad. The radicals & liberals had looked for solution to the workers' problems. Hence, many workers who wanted to change the world had rallied around the radicals & liberals for fighting for their individual rights
