Lord Ullin's anger changed into sorrow bcz after he reached the shore and saw her daughter dying, he realized that it was his ego which got him to see this day and now it was no use regretting it and nothing could now get her daughter back. He thought that if he would've let her daughter marry her lover then he would not have seen this day... How his daughter waved her hand asking him for help and he stood there helplessly made his anger change to sorrow

Lord Ullin was giving a hot chase to capture the chieftain and his beautiful daughter. Their capture would meant the sure death of the chieftain. Lord Ullin and his armed men reached the shore. He saw his daughter struggling against the stormy and raring waves. She extended her one hand for help and the other one was around her lover. Lord Ullin was moved. He announce to forgive them. But it was too late. He was crying piteously over his daughter dying and was left lamenting on the shore.
