He gave the British government a lost of 11 objectives and put forward a condition according to which if the government didn't accept their proposal then they would protest against it. Until 11 March the bbritish government didn't follow the proposal hence Gandhi ji gave rise to a new protest. The Dandiya March to break the salt law. He along with his 78 followers started a March to dandi in Gujarat. With this act he set off the civil disobedience act. By disobeying the government laws which opposed the making of salt for Indians.
