In Hind Swaraj, Mahatma Gandhi maintained that the British could survive in India only due to the cooperation of Indians. If Indians would refuse to cooperate with the British, they won't survive in India anymore. Therefore, Mahatma Gandhi decided to go for non cooperation movement.
