Gandhiji decided to launch a nationwide Satyagraha against the proposed Rowlatt Act 1919 because :-

✳ This Act means that the British may put the Indian into the jail because for no reason without a court case .

✳ After the first world war the evolution of Turkish Khalifa movement started.

✳ The Jallianwala Bagh incident in the Jallianwala Bagh the Sikhs that had came to celebrate Baisakhi were killed because they were not knowing that the General Dyer had passed a law which meant that no one had to be out of their house but when he knew that some are celebrating baishakhi then he got angry and give the order to shoot everyone who are in the Jallianwala Bagh this led Mahatma Gandhi to start a nationwide Satyagraha.
