• It marked the beginning of Civil Disobedience movement, where people of the country came together to not only refuse but also break British unjust laws in a civil manner.
• Thousands in different parts of the country broke the salt law by manufacturing salt from the sea.
• Patidars of GUjarat and Jatts of U.P. were active in the movement.
