Answer:
Civil Disobedience movement was started in order to abolish the Salt Law as salt was something consumed by both rich and poor and should not be taxed.
This united the country as:-
- It marked the beginning of Civil Disobedience movement, where people of the country came together to not only refuse but also break British unjust laws in a civil manner.
- Thousands in different parts of the country broke the salt law by manufacturing salt from the sea.
- Patidars of GUjarat and Jatts of U.P. were active in the movement.
- As many people were hard hit by the law, they all united and came together in the Civil Disobedience movt.
- Small tenants and peasant found it difficult to pay rents and wanted the unpaid rents to be remeted, therefore they also joined the movt.
