One day, Mahendra stopped Iswaran from telling the useless story. He also scolded him very badly. So, mahendra expected him that would be angry for few days. But Iswaran was quite cheerful and talkative the next day.

R.K Laxman is the 'author' of the story ‘Iswaran, the Story Teller’. Iswaran was a good cook and a great story teller to his master ‘Mahendra’. One day, he narrated a story about a horrible ghost of woman that appears at midnight on a full day moon.

It looked like a skeleton carrying a 'foetus' in its arms. Mahendra 'shivered at the description' and wanted Iswaran to 'sulk for a couple of days' for such an imagination. But Iswaran was quite cheerful and talkative the next day.
