Whew, that was a long two weeks without Riverdale, so let’s get right into it: the eighth episode opens with the perfect, Stepford-y Cooper family getting their portrait taken as Voiceover Jughead tells us that Mr. and Mrs. Cooper were high school sweethearts. “You Don’t Own Me” plays in the background and we see the whole sordid history of Jason and Polly play out in flashes — high school sweethearts with a much less happy ending (not that the Cooper parents are all that happy, really).
