Mendeleev's periodic table is an arrangement of the elements that group similar elements together. He left blank spaces for the undiscovered elements (atomic masses, element: 44, scandium; 68, gallium; 72, germanium; & 100, technetium) so that certain elements can be grouped together.

explain

Mendeleev left gaps in his table to place elements not known at the time. By looking at the chemical properties and physical properties of the elements next to a gap, he could also predict the properties of these undiscovered elements. ... The element germanium was discovered later.

Answer:

Mendeleev was sure that new elements will be discovered in the future.

Hence, he left some gaps in his periodic table.

Gallium was not discovered at this time , but he stated about it ," If i hold it in my hand , it will melt".

And yes , the melting point of Ga is nearly 30°C , and the temperature of our body is 37°C.

In his honor , one of the elements was named as Mendelevium .

Hope it helps
