Why did Margie hate school? Why did she the old kind of school must have been fun?
Answers
Answer: Margie hated homework as most students at our age do and her mechanical teacher's inanimate behavior just added another reason for her to hate school. School to her was a span of time in the day when she had to go to her room where there was a mechanical teacher and she had to submit her homework and later she was taught by the teacher. Another reason why she hated school was that while she used to spend hours doing her homework, the mechanical teacher corrected it and calculator her marks in no time.
When Margie heard about the old kind of school from Tommy, she seemed fascinated by the fact that a human could act as a mechanical teacher. She also thought how good it was to meet with children of your same age, go to a different building with them to study and then sit in a classroom with your friends and then later they could all help each other with their homework. This was why Margie thought that the old kind of school must have been fun.
