Answer:

Margie hated school because it was not a fun.

✴She hated the large block of screen and the way she had to insert homework and Tests in the slot on the mechanical teacher.

✴Margie imagined the old kind of school with kids from the entire neighbourhood coming together laughing and shouting in the schoolyard.

✴She imagined that they would sit together in the classroom and go home together at the end of the day.

✴All these aspects made her believe that the old kind of school must have been fun.

Hi there!

Here is your answer -

Margie's school was next to her bedroom. It wasn't fun at all. She didn't have any classmates and the teacher was mechanical. Later, she had begun to hate her school more as the mechanical teacher gave her test after test in geography without understanding her level.

She thought that old schools would be fun as kids from the neighborhood came laughing and shouting in the school yard, studied together in the school room and got the same homework which they could discuss. Moreover, the teacher was a human.

A human teacher understands the sentiments and emotions of students. He guides the students according to their inclination and level of understanding. However, this wasn't the case with mechanical teacher. Therefore Margie thought that schools in old times were fun.
