Why did Marvel named his inn 'the invisible man'?

1. Griffin was killed, Mr. Marvel went to Portstowe and built his own inn, ‘THE INVISIBLE MAN'.
2.He never disclosed the whereabouts of the three books and ‘stole’ the money that Griffin had stolen from his father. 
3. Marvel also narrated his side of story to others and earned some more money. 
4.This way, Mr. Marvel proved to be the ultimate opportunist.
