1) The royal treasury became almost empty.
2) Many people couldn't suffer misery of the ling journey and hence they died.
3) The location of Devagiri was unfavourable as it was in such a place that would make ruling the country more difficult.

Mohammad Tughlaq plan failed because he was full of opposites.He decided to change his capital and he failed because Devgiri was 950 km away Delhi and the transport system was very bad and the attack’s of mongols.
