She says that it all began because of God's calling to her and this is how God's calling played out. Mother Teresa taught at Stain Mary's High School, in Calcutta, India. On September 10, 1946, while riding in a train from Calcutta to Darjeeling to engage in 8 days of spiritual exercises, she received a calling from God "to serve him amongst the poorest of poor". That's when her life long quest started.
