Mowgli who had lived in the jungle all his life, was not aware of village customs and rules, when he arrived in the village. He was adopted by a rich, but childless couple who believed he was their lost son. Mowgli’s ignorance of customs caused quite some confusion and embarrassment to everyone in the house. Because of this, he also found it difficult to sleep in Messua’s hut.

This is from the English writer - Rudyard Kipling’s (1865 – 1936) famous book ‘The Jungle Book’.
