Mr. Coach considered Albert Einstein to be a very bright and brilliant student and was helpful towards him. He believed that Einstein was ready to enter a college or institute for the higher studies of Mathematics. Einstein found Maths to be an interesting subject.

Koch agreed with Albert that the latter was wasting his time in ... He walked out of the office and the school where he had spent five miserable years. ... Why couldn't Einstein think of going to Milan without a serious reason?
