Why did mrs.bramble dicide to keep it bills profession away from harold

Mrs Bramble decided to keep Bill's profession away from Harold because those days boxing was not considered a prestigious sport and Mrs Bramble would allow no distraction on the grounds of Bill's profession to Harold i.e getting teased by his classmates,looked down upon by the society etc.,as he was a child prodigy and had a bright future.
