so here is the answer y she was keen for hunting a tiger.....

mrs packletide had to suffer a lot....she was jealous of loona and planned to kill a tiger to outshine loona bimberton..for this she had to pay money to the villagers to help her...miss mebbin also threatens her that she needs to buy her a weekend cottage at darking or else she will reveal the truth to loona..
