Why did Mrs. Packletide want to kill a tiger?

Mrs. Packletide was jealous of the arrival of Loona Bimberton, who had travelled 11 km in an airplane, which was operated by the Algerian aviator. Mrs. Packletide decided to kill the tiger to gain media coverage through her pictures and to outclass her.
