Mohammed Bin Tughlaq shifted his capital to Devagiri because:
a) Devagiri was centrally located and equidistant from Delhi and other important places
b) Delhi was within the reach of mongol and Devagiri appear to be safe from the possible Mongol attacks
c) He thought it would be easier to control Deccan from Devagiri and it was safe from invasions
