Why did Napolean Bonaparte reintroduce slave trade even though he was a modernizer ?

Because when he became king he wanted to win the hearts of people as well as the people of national assembly.so he removed slavery system. People also had full faith on him. For few years he hadn't take steps which were against people. But later on he found that people had trusted him he reintroduce slavery system and another reason was that he wanted to win the europe
