Nicola and jacopo can earn sufficient amount of money, despite they worked so hard and do the number of odd jobs so they can even live satisfied life.
But they lead such a miserable life because that have a ill sister admitted in the hospital for treatment of tuberculosis.
boys had to contribute their almost income for sister's treatment.
hence they were not able to give as much as themself, due to responsibilities of their sister.
in short, they had contributed their income for the sake of their sister.
