No one in Pratibandpuram cry or felt sad at the death of the Tiger King because he was not a popular king at all. On the contrary he had been a selfish, irresponsible, self-centered, and troublesome for his people.

He did many things to displease and annoy his subjects. He banned tiger hunting in the kingdom to kill 100 tigers, he doubled up tax of a village when he did not find the hundredth tiger; he sacked many officers for the same reason. He even did not pay for the things he bought for his family, for example he did not pay any money to the shopkeeper from whom he bought wooden tiger king for his son.

In conclusion it can be said the Tiger King had done nothing for the welfare of his people, so nobody cried at his death.

The king of Prathibandpuram was not a good ruler and this is the reason his subjects did not experience any sorrow or anguish at his death.

The king became obsessed with proving a prophecy wrong about the hundredth tiger killing him.

He killed tigers everywhere he could until he had killed 99.

A hunter killed the hundredth tiger.

Finally, a wooden tiger caused an infection that killed the king making the prophecy come true.
