Novels became popular among women in he 17th century. By the 18th century, the women would read for peasure and would also write novels.
These novels written by women would represent the hardships of the women faced by them in the society, their household problems and other experiences. in that ear, authors like Jane Eyre, Jane Austen and so on, they were one of those who would write and share their experiences in the form of rebel towards the patriarchy of the society.
