Why did ooto Frank did not approve anne's affair with Peter .how did Anne react?

there is no specified reason for why Mr. ooto frank did not approve anne's affair with peter but then anne reacted in a very matured manner .she used to meet peter everyday and at the same time she respected the decision taken  by her father .

As a father, he was responsible and concerned about the well-being of his daughter and therefore, made an effort to correct her, even though it was painful. Though Anne was sad initially, she comprehends the concern he had, later when she mentions in the diary that she understood the kind of relationship that grew between them both.
